MAINTENANCE AND BEST PRACTICES
FREQUENT TESTING: THE USER IS RECOMMENDED TO ESTABLISH AN IN-HOUSE TEST FOR ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE AND PERFORM IT AT REGULAR
INTERVALS.
HAZARD AREAS: IF WORN IN CONDITIONS WHERE THE SOLE BECOMES CONTAMINATED, WEARERS MUST ALWAYS CHECK THE ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF THE FOOTWEAR BEFORE ENTERING A HAZARDOUS AREA.
FLOOR RESISTANCE: WHERE ANTISTATIC FOOTWEAR IS IN USE, THE RESISTANCE OF THE FLOORING SHOULD BE SUCH THAT IT DOES NOT INVALIDATE THE PROTECTION PROVIDED BY THE FOOTWEAR.
INSERTS: NO INSULATING ELEMENTS SHOULD BE INTRODUCED BETWEEN THE INNER SOLE OF THE FOOTWEAR AND THE FOOT OF THE WEARER. IF ANY INSERT IS PLACED BETWEEN THE SOLE AND THE FOOT, THE COMBINED ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF THE FOOTWEAR AND INSERT MUST BE RE-CHECKED.
